What SAP customers need from a PIM
SAP customers need a PIM whose connector matches their SAP product and respects the material master. In PIMvendors selections, six criteria decide fit:
- SAP product match: S/4HANA Cloud, S/4HANA on-premise, ECC, Business One and SAP Commerce Cloud need different connectors. A connector for one says nothing about the others.
- Certification and ownership: who built the connector, who maintains it after SAP upgrades, and whether SAP certified it.
- Master split: the material master owns numbers, units and logistics data, and the PIM owns enrichment. The PIM and ERP integration guide covers the split.
- Middleware fit: whether the connector runs on SAP Business Technology Platform or other middleware already licensed.
- Delta and error handling: changed items flow both ways on time, and failed messages retry without duplicates.
- Migration readiness: the connector works before and after an ECC to S/4HANA migration if one is planned.
Licence cost follows the same logic. Price the connector as a line item, because several vendors sell it as an add-on.

Six vendors document an SAP connector, accelerator or certification. Each entry states the evidence, one limitation, and one scenario to run.
Akeneo
Why it is on this list
Akeneo lists Akeneo accelerators for SAP S/4HANA and an accelerator for SAP Commerce Cloud on its App Store. Akeneo scores 2 of 2 for manufacturers and mid-sized companies. The App Store files the S/4HANA accelerators under developer tools and shows no certification label, so plan for implementation effort.

Inriver
Why it is on this list
Inriver announced on 28 May 2026 that SAP certified its S/4HANA Cloud Connector and its SAP Commerce Cloud Connector as built with SAP BTP. Inriver offers the S/4HANA connector as an add-on on the SAP Store. The release names S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition and does not mention ECC.

Perfion
Why it is on this list
Perfion names SAP Business One and SAP S/4HANA among its ERP integrations and has a dedicated Business One section. Perfion scores 2 of 2 for B2B technical data and has a fast time-to-value profile. Its ERP page publishes no S/4HANA connector detail beyond a fact sheet, and its enterprise fit score is 0.

Stibo Systems
Why it is on this list
Stibo Systems lists SAP connectivity for the material master on its solutions page. STEP governs product, supplier, customer and location data, which suits SAP estates with several master data domains. Stibo Systems sizes STEP for enterprise programmes, and the full connector description sits in its Connectivity Gallery.

Struct
Why it is on this list
Struct lists SAP Business One among 6 featured integrations and publishes its prices. Struct scores 2 of 2 for mid-sized manufacturers and distributors. Struct documents no S/4HANA or ECC connector, and its presence outside the Nordics is limited.

Viamedici
Why it is on this list
Viamedici describes its EPIM platform as SAP-certified and tags its MDM, PIM 360 and Configuration modules with SAP. Viamedici scores 2 of 2 for manufacturers, B2B technical data and multidomain MDM. The certification scope is not stated, and implementations are enterprise-scale.

How do the shortlisted vendors compare?
The shortlisted vendors differ most in which SAP product their documentation covers. Perfion and Struct document SAP Business One, which suits mid-sized companies. - Bluestone PIM delivers SAP integration as a tailored Connectivity Suite project, with no prebuilt connector.
- Censhare, Informatica, Pimcore, Plytix, Quable, Sales Layer, SyncForce and Syndigo showed no SAP connector in the sources checked.
- Centric PXM names SAP as an integration example without connector detail.
- Pimberly shows an SAP logo among ERP and ecommerce integrations without a connector page.
- Salsify's SAP partner page refers to SAP ERP without describing the integration.

Which PIM works with SAP Business One?
Perfion has a dedicated SAP Business One integration section on its website, and Struct lists SAP Business One among its featured integrations. Both suit mid-sized companies running Business One. Ask each vendor whether the integration is a standard connector, who maintains it after Business One upgrades, and what it costs per year.
Should the PIM or SAP own product data?
SAP should own transactional and logistics data such as material numbers, units, prices and plant data. The PIM should own enrichment such as marketing texts, technical features for channels, classifications and media. Write the split per attribute, then test it in a demo: ERP-mastered attributes must be read-only in the PIM, and SAP updates must never overwrite enrichment.
