Stephan Spijkers co-founded PIMvendors.com and works as a PIM and MDM advisor. PIMvendors helps European manufacturers, distributors, brands and retailers select product information management systems. In 2025 PIMvendors helped 15+ companies select a PIM through a full selection or a shortlist.

The scenario-based selection method

Stephan Spijkers runs selections on scenarios built from the buyer's validated requirements. Vendors demonstrate real use cases on the buyer's own sample data. A generic demo shows the vendor's best path through its own data and predicts little about fit.

Stephan Spijkers hosts The Single Source, the PIMvendors podcast on product data. The podcast is available on Apple Podcasts. Episode pages with full transcripts are added to the podcast page as they appear.

PIMvendors also runs a webinar programme on PIM selection and product data. More than 30 webinars have reached 10,000+ attendees in total, with recent sessions averaging about 200 attendees.

Co-organiser of Product Content Europe

Stephan Spijkers co-organises Product Content Europe, a conference on product content. PIMvendors organised the 2026 edition with EMM Consultancy. It took place on 6 October 2026 at NBC Green Village in Nieuwegein, under the theme "Magical Customer Experiences". The events page lists the tracks.

Languages

Stephan Spijkers works in Dutch, English and French. Selections, requirement workshops and scenario demos can run in any of the three. Buyers in the Netherlands and Belgium are the first focus of PIM Selection, followed by DACH, France, the Nordics and the UK.
