PIM SelectionThe independent guide to choosing a PIM

PIM selection research from PIMvendors

PIMvendors publishes research on PIM selection in PIM Selection. Two outputs are planned: the PIM Selection Benchmark 2027, a buyer survey on selection duration, shortlist size, cost, failure causes and AI adoption, and the Price Reality Index, which reports cost ranges per segment and vendor tier. Both methods are published before any results.

Planned research outputs

PIMvendors plans two research outputs, and both publish their method before their results. Publishing the method first lets readers judge the sample and the definitions before seeing any figures.

Output Question it answers Status
PIM Selection Benchmark 2027 How long selections take, how many vendors buyers consider, what they cost, why they fail, how buyers use AI Method published, survey planned
Price Reality Index What PIM programmes cost per segment and vendor tier Method published, launches with the benchmark

No results are published yet. Both pages will be updated when results are available, and the change will be recorded in the update log.

How PIMvendors research is run

PIMvendors research combines a buyer survey with anonymised engagement data. The survey collects answers from organisations that have selected a PIM. Engagement data comes from PIMvendors selection projects, with every identifying detail removed.

Results follow the same rules as the rest of the hub. Figures are reported only where the sample supports them, and every figure states its sample size. The methodology and editorial policy describe the wider standards.

PIMvendors also publishes a yearly PIM report, separate from this research. Partners in the PIMvendors partnership programme can buy a profile in that report, as disclosed in the neutrality policy. The research on this page carries no vendor sponsorship.

Buyers deserve numbers they can check. We publish the method first, so readers can judge the results when they arrive.
